Meet the 2016 Sponsors- PACE Systems
Make48 is not only a 48-hour competition fostering invention and innovation, but a networking event bringing everyday inventors and big retail brands under one roof. Networking is how our next sponsor met our CEO, Tom Gray. Christopher Guerrera met Tom at a National Walmart convention in Bentonville, Arkansas where they spoke about products, inventions, national media exposure, his visits to Good Morning America and his affiliation with the hit show, Shark Tank.
Guerrera is an accomplished executive with over 32 years’ experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing and Executive Management. Guerrera has served as an International Business Leader in Automotive, Aerospace, Custom Engineered Products, Manufacturing and Sales.
He is currently the CEO and Founder of PACE Systems, a proprietary Lean 6 sigma manufacturing system that can be used in any business or everyday life. Guerrera wants entrepreneurs to understand that lean applies in every business and every process. As the company or entrepreneurs sustains and builds momentum PACE ensures continued results from strategic planning with a committed journey to achieving World Class status. The ultimate goal is to provide perfect value to the customer through a perfect value stream process that has zero waste.
Guerrera got involved in Make48 at our event last October and was really interest in the interaction and integration of the entire process from concept to product development. When asked how Make48 is leading the way for invention competitions, he said “[it] provides an expedited platform to create, sell, market and introduce products to an integrated network of experts providing faster channels to market.” With Make48 transitioning to the East Coast in June, Guerrera said he would like to see the next Make48 competition make it to Boston, MA or Manchester, NH.
We are really excited to have Guerrera back at Make48 at the Smithsonian’s Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention of Innovation in Washington D.C. What was his advice for the teams competing in June? To “maintain focus throughout the entire event with a plan to present the judging panel with details that will allow for selling and market creation.” Great words of advice!
