 Tom Gray (CEO)

“The best part of the show this year was having the whole team here. We’re out here in the sun, we’re in the entry way, it’s packed out and we’ve been meeting the most amazing inventors, and some of them are going to be on Season 2- let’s put it that way!”
.
Tom is referring to the NHS inventors from the National Hardware Show’s Inventor Spotlight that pitched live to the Make48 team during the NHS! The casting call for season 2of Make48 is open until July 3rd! Don’t miss your chance to be on the next Make48! Apply now.

“My favorite part was meeting the new inventors that stopped by the booth and the trailer, and that seemed really interested in Make48! Also, getting to pass out flyers and connect Make48 with people from all around the world”

.

“There’s so many things that I loved! I’d have to say conversations I think that always happens at shows like this- it’s all about the conversations you have. I mean you see a lot of great things but it’s more so the people that you talk to about those things. So I loved to say the conversations at the show, the conversations after the show, the interviews they did. Its just about meeting people, talking to people we met so many people, and so many things that they shared were incredible, insightful, inspiring, it’s leaves us jazzed.”

“I think it was having potential contestants be excited about working with the tool techs and all the amazing 3D printers and CNC machines and letting them realize that there are no bottlenecks during the Make48 competitions, they can just come with their skills and create a new product” That’s right. Make48 tool techs even the playing field for contestants. as we say, if you can draw it on a napkin, our tool techs can help with the prototype. That’s why Make48 is for all ages and experience levels!

“As I usually work remotely from Toronto, a huge highlight for me was getting to spend time working side-by-side with the Make48 team. The entire experience was amazing! You are shocked from the second you see the size of the convention centre and the fact that every person you speak to knows a ton about the hardware and invention worlds. Getting to meet every inventor from the Inventor Spotlight was a real highlight!”
