Makers around the world have already put Duck Tape® brand duct tape to use for just about everything under the sun, and it’s not stopping anytime soon. Duck Tape® has introduced what they call the Duck Tape® Maker movement.
Through this campaign, Duck Tape® wants to continue to expose the creativity of their users, and connect Duck Tape® Makers around the world through the #DuckTapeMaker.
As part of this movement, Duck Tape® is also connecting with the makers starring in the second Season of the invention TV show Make48 (trailer). During the show, competing teams of inventors have 48 hours to create, prototype and pitch an innovative product to a panel of industry-leading judges. And as Make48 Co-founder and long-time inventor Rich Brull said, “you can’t prototype without using Duck Tape® somewhere along the way.”
Patti Sack, the Media Manager for ShurTech Brands® LLC, (parent company to Duck Tape® brand duct tape) said about the partnership: “We are excited to see Duck Tape in the hands of these fearless innovators to see what they imagine up.”
Filming for the second Season of Make48 took place at the Kansas City Art Institute last weekend, and 12 teams from 12 states used everything from Duck Tape® to 3D printers to bring their ideas into reality.
ShurTech Brands® has continuously inspired makers around the world with motivational campaigns and engaging partnerships like these. As Patti Sack told us, Duck Tape® brand duct tape hopes to “fire the imagination of Makers everywhere, promoting creativity, inspiring innovation and celebrating self-expression”.
The educational television show has exclusive underwriting support from Stanley Black and Decker, and has already began airing in most of the country. Check your public television listings or Make48’s social platforms for air dates!
