Josh Malone is a long time Make 48 supporter and a mentor on the upcoming Season 4. He is also the inventor of Bunch O Balloons, the number one-selling outdoor toy.
My goal is to help inventors succeed. I want America and the world to benefit by affording all inventors the opportunity to develop and turn their ideas into working solutions. One reason I support Make48 is for their core value that anyone can be an inventor, and is entitled to benefit from the fruits of their labor.
When my invention was copied, I wound up in a multi-million dollar legal battle over the rights to my invention. I was shocked at the injustice that pervades the legal system which allows corporations with deep pockets and insiders in the government to escape consequences for their misdeeds.
On the verge of losing everything I had worked for, I went to Washington, D.C. to plead my case to the highest levels of the government. Now I am a full time volunteer with the non-profit US Inventor to represent inventors in public policy. To be effective, we need your participation.
Inventors Need Representation
US Inventor, a non-profit organization that advocates for the rights of inventors, is hosting an election to choose one or more delegates to sit on the Patent Public Advisory Committee (PPAC). The PPAC is an official committee created by the United States Congress and charged with reviewing the USPTO operations and advising the Director of the USPTO.
Inventors rely on patents to protect our inventions, access capital, build businesses, and create jobs. Research and experience have proven that independent inventors and small businesses are important sources of innovation.
We need trustworthy and capable advocates who will ensure that the USPTO addresses the needs and interests of inventors.
I encourage everyone who supports inventors to participate in this election.
