FFA and Corteva Agriscience Join Forces in a Unique Challenge
This event brought together seven FFA teams, each composed of talented high school students from Indiana chapters. Corteva Agriscience and the Indiana FFA partnered to create a one-of-a-kind 48-hour challenge.
Teams were challenged to design and build interactive displays illuminating agriculture's diverse and dynamic world. These exhibits aimed to educate the public about the industry's positive impact on communities, showcase the wide range of career opportunities it offers, dispel common misconceptions about farming, and raise awareness of the importance of agriculture to well-being.
By engaging visitors with interactive elements and compelling visuals, teams brought to life the multifaceted nature of modern agriculture and its crucial role in our society.
We had an incredible lineup of teams from the Indianapolis region, including:
Hamilton Heights FFA
Agricadabra (Purdue Polytechnic H.S.-Broad Ripple Campus)
EH Royals (Eastern Hancock FFA)
Mud Flaps (Frankton-Lapel)
HSE FFA (Hamilton Southeastern)
Clever Connersville FFA (Connersville)
Fishers High School FFA
Throughout the weekend, skilled tool technicians from Maker Playground, ShopBot, Onshape, and the local community worked alongside the teams. Indianapolis makers volunteered their time and expertise to mentor the students and create a custom-made trophy. These students weren't just competing but were collaborating, problem-solving, and creating lifelong memories.
