This year the team's challenge for Make48 (Season 5) will be…..TOYS! From water sustainability to outdoor lifestyle, the contestants created thoughtful ideas throughout the City Series competitions last year.
Eight teams will have 48 hours to create the best toy idea, based on the criteria given, and pitch their design to a panel of judges. The challenge will allow the makers to get creative and use their imagination much like the young inventor. Toys are a way to help kids understand the world and support their development in multiple ways. From sparking creativity, teaching skills, nurturing language development and boosting self-esteem; early childhood education is the time to introduce your child to learning. As Maria Montessori (educator) once said, “Play is the work of the child.”
We can’t wait to see what ideas arise next week on the national stage in Wichita, to win the grand prize of $10,000. Make48 was created to support creators, makers and future inventors, and to inspire people to transform their innovations and ideas into reality - all within 48 hours. Meet a few of our generous supporters who have partnered with us to bring Nationals 2022 to PBS.
