The fastest invention-competition is returning to the Indianapolis metropolitan area to host an event at Fishers Maker Playground!
From September 10-12, Make48 will unlock the tools needed to build with brand new teams this participating this year. Participants from all backgrounds, ages and skill levels that are interested in innovation and invention, will create under the challenge theme Food Preservation & The Supply Chain - Food at the Right Place at the Right Time. The challenge was determined by the United Way of Central Indiana and the event is sponsored by Corteva Agriscience.
Meet the teams who will compete in the 48-hour challenge. One winning team will walk away with $2,000 and advance to the National Finale, which will be filmed for Season 6 of Make48 on PBS next March.
Fishers Tigers
Meet Jeff, Eduardo, Jack and Ayanna! They are the Fishers Tigers and their teams consist of two teachers and two students. They have been friends with the makerspace, Fishers Maker Playground, and are ready to start building.
Machyne Makerspace
Last year Make48 worked with Machyne Makerspace and this time around, they're giving the competition a try! Paul, Ramon, Roman and Nick are artists and engineers affiliated with Machyne Makerspace. We're glad to see them try their hand at the challenge!
GearHounds
James, Paul, Nathan and Jordon are staff and students from the University of Indianapolis. Looking to experience the 48-hour competition for themselves, the team is also looking at a potential future challenge at UIndy and the opportunities that it could bring.
Seal Team Fix
The team from Purdue Polytechnic @ Anderson is hosting their own competition next summer and taking this opportunity for their faculty and student team to see what Make48 is all about. Meet the Seal Team Fix members, Austin, Jeff, Chloe and Drew.
The Mavericks
Three members from one family and a very close family friend will compete at Fishers. Jason, Kelly, Tyler and Grant are The Mavericks. With a combined passion of aviation and tech they have created a flight simulator out of a crashed airplane. They have endless curiosity and the will to solve common problems in unconventional ways.

Meet the super cool family of 4! With two extraverts, two introverts, and one love for family and tech! Introducing The Seatons, Shondria, Bryant, Jayden, and Jordyn.
