Kansas City, MO - November 7, 2024 - Six teams of talented makers will gather at the Operation Breakthrough Ignition Lab Makerspace in Kansas City, MO for the Make48 Nationals this weekend. These teams have come from all over the country, winning regional competitions to earn their spot in the finals.
The Ignition Lab powered by 87 & running will host the winning teams from Make48’s 2024 Career Pathways host locations including; the University of Missouri-Kansas City, The Delta School, Kansas State School for the Blind, Fishers Maker Playground, Milwaukee School of Engineering and University of Wisconsin-Stout.
The theme for this year's competition is "Carriage House Entrepreneurs." Teams will have 48 hours to design and build a product that meets the challenge criteria. An all-star lineup of mentors and tool techs will be on hand to guide them throughout the competition. The teams will also have access to various tools and materials for their prototypes. The competition will be filmed around the clock, and episodes will premiere on Roku's This Old House Makers Channel in the spring of 2025.
