YouTube Release of The Milwaukee School of Engineering - Make48 Full Episodes

Brace yourselves because Make48 just dropped new episodes on YouTube, and for these episodes, we visit the MSOE campus and their We Energies STEM Center, which is known as the ideal space for innovation and creativity.




Eight teams, hailing from high schools and organizations across the Milwaukee area, were ready to tackle the unknown. The incredible lineup of teams included:

  • COAH Crew (City On A Hill)

  • Cookie Cre8tors (Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast)

  • Waukesha West TREK (Waukesha West School District)

  • Cristo Rey Trailblazers (Cristo Rey Jesuit High School)

  • NOVAS (Milwaukee Academy of Sciences)

  • Lions Rising (Augustine Prep)

  • Golda Girls 2.0 (Golda Meir School)

  • Charger Robotics (Sussex Hamilton High School)


Each team had the backing of a local business sponsor, adding another layer of expertise and support to their endeavors. They included: JP Cullen, Harley-Davidson, Generac, Milwaukee Tool, Rockwell Automation, Husco, ATC (American Transmission Company), and Northwestern Mutual. 


Additional Wisconsin businesses also added their support: Anthem, BioForward, Graef, and Bliffert Lumber & Hardware Milwaukee, where the teams shopped for their materials.

MSOE Hosts Make48: Innovating for Campus Sustainability

Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), a hub for exploration and hands-on learning, welcomed Make48 to MSOE's renowned We Energies STEM Center. Building on their commitment to innovation, this event channeled the university's innovative spirit towards a pressing goal: improving campus scalable sustainability.


MSOE issued the challenge, and teams eagerly stepped up, dedicating 48 hours to developing concepts aimed at creating a greener campus. Their ideas tackled sustainability from various angles, including minimizing waste, promoting recycling, and conserving energy and resources. 


The Make48 event at MSOE showcased how focused collaboration and creative thinking can generate impactful ideas for a more sustainable future.

About Make48


Make48 is a nationwide invention-competition docuseries that gives teams a challenge at the start of a three-day event. With just 48 hours, teams must create a prototype, promotional video, and sales sheet, and present their idea to a panel of judges. The teams have access to a makerspace and numerous Tool Techs that can make almost anything, patent attorneys, marketing experts, and more. This format allows everyone to have a level playing field and the chance to win, with no prior technical knowledge necessary.
